STEALTH PROFIT-TAKING & ROTATION

By Charles Payne, CEO & Principal Analyst
10/21/2025 9:41 AM

Another solid session for the market yesterday with nine sectors trading higher. Communication Services (XLC) was one of the leaders, which in turn was led by media and entertainment.

Top advancers were an eclectic group to say the least.

Market breadth was impressive, especially for higher quality small-caps in the S&P 600 (SML).

I think we are going to see more rotation into companies with revenue, so be careful about chasing.

Case in point, Oklo Inc. (OKLO), opened four dollars higher at $167, and raced to $170, then fell to $159.00.

Regionals Hold Up

Banks held up during the session, including regional banks, and after the close, Zions Bancorporation (ZION) moved higher on earnings and outlook.

Today’s Session

America’s blue-chip companies are reminding the world, and investors, that “exceptionalism” isn’t just about computer chips and robots.

Company after company is giving upbeat guidance, surpassing Wall Street’s expectations, and lifting their shares in the process.  Even General Motors (GM) forecasted more substantial financial growth and cash flow.

Comments
Life is good and so many wall street New York know it all pundits avoid talking about the profit increases and scream bubble. They drive up stock prices then search for a crap headline to sell stocks to justify taking profits milking their daily gains. All on the backs of main street normal folks who prop the market up with substance. Move Wall Street to Florida. It is culturally broken.

The market is just like the jungle, if you are not careful (do your own research), continually educated by watching Charles Payne's financial show, the market, Wall Street AND Main Street will eat your lunch!!
