BUMPS IN THE ROAD AHEAD?

The market seems to be on autopilot, but there are fits and false starts beneath the surface. The Fear & Greed Index feels like we are at the starting line.

Chips Moving Out of NVDA Shadow

It wasn’t a great session under the hood yesterday, but chip stocks in the wake of the Nvidia (NVDA) monster move are making names for themselves.

It’s steady as she goes, but the question is for how long? The S&P 500 (SPX) hasn’t made a move above or below 1.0% since June 24th.

On an individual basis, there is no margin for error. Earnings misses and subpar guidance are being greeted with a sledgehammer.

Things begin to heat up today, and the remainder of the week is chalked with potentially market-moving events.

Seasonality suggests volatile equities for the rest of the summer, but also a potential spike in volatility (VIX).

There is an avalanche of earnings we are combing through.
