Major indices are lower this afternoon in a busy week filled with quarterly reports from heavyweight names and an economic data deluge.

There was a slew of economic data this morning, which continues to underscore the economy is slowing.

Technology has fallen to the bottom of the pack driven by losses in Microsoft (MSFT) and Apple (AAPL). Solar stocks are also lagging today following a downgrade to Sell for First Solar (FSLR).

The move from the market so far has largely continued the sideways trading trend seen last week.
