The broader market sits mixed in afternoon hours with the Dow Jones paring deeper declines and the S&P turning positive. Leadership continues to narrow to technology stocks, with the Nasdaq hitting an all-time intraday high.

Energy is the worst performing sector, with oil down 3.8% to $76. The interest rate sensitive Utilities sector is among one of the best performing sectors.

Thanksgiving Inflation

Our homes are filling up with all the stuff for a great Thanksgiving dinner, however, this year a dinner for ten on average will cost $53.31. This represents a 13.7% increase than last year, being the largest year-over-year spike since 1990. We are looking at the most expensive Thanksgiving dinner ever.

Charles , love your show. When you and Larry Kudlow discuss the economy everyone learns a lot.

"Thanksgiving is a typically American holiday. In spite of its religious form (giving thanks to God for a good harvest), its essential, secular meaning is a celebration of successful production. It is a producers’ holiday. The lavish meal is a symbol of the fact that abundant consumption is the result and reward of production. Abundance is (or was and ought to be) America’s pride—just as it is the pride of American parents that their children need never know starvation"
