Morning Commentary
Coming into the next week with a ton of headlines. At the top of the list is a pause in renewed escalation between the United States and Iran.
The battle is going better than media reporting, but most people had assumed America would have “won” already. The thing is, it doesn’t take much to run what is essentially a guerrilla campaign. Squashing it completely could require ground troops, which is something this administration is steadfastly against. Crude oil never got near the levels of earlier in the conflict and has come down hard in the last 24 hours.

Major Financing News
Nvidia (NVDA) is central to the AI trade, and the company continues to provide funding for major projects.

Samsung and Hynix inked close to a trillion dollars in partnership deals with US companies over the weekend.

SK Hynix US shares (SKHY) are indicating higher at the start of trading.

Memory Battle
Apple has been lobbying the White House to be able to use memory chips from ChangXin (CXMT), which just went public and is now the most valuable publicly traded company in China (24th globally).

The memory market will remain on fire through 2030 and probably longer. Revenue in 2030 is estimated to be $2.1 trillion. There are concerns about CXMT eventually driving prices lower.

High Bandwidth Memory is becoming a major driver.

Earnings Season
This week:

MAGS Making a Stand
Last week the Magnificent Seven ETF (MAGS) gapped down to below the 200-day, which left it extremely vulnerable. These names must make a stand this week.

Change the Narrative
Big Tech is cheap enough for a major move – the key will be the narrative. They will keep spending more money but can articulate a light and then a treasure at the end of the tunnel.

| OT and on the side. True, a guerrilla campaign can have legs, just like in about every past war or insurgent scenario to gain or maintain control. It will not be any different this time as well perhaps, as they will always be a factor. The difference this time, is that the US is not currently planning to place boots on the ground around a major invasion like in the past. In sense all we have is weaken them to a point that they start fearing what the neighboring countries being hit, might step in to the fray against them when they are placed in a weaker state. The IRGC is the wild card in how this gets resolved eventually. Terry Dowler on 7/27/2026 11:20:33 AM |
