GREEN AHEAD OF ST. PATRICK’S DAY

By Charles Payne, CEO & Principal Analyst
3/17/2026 7:21 AM

We haven’t seen this in a while – green across the screen, led by Technology (XLK), including software (IGV).

Only Low Volatility struggled yesterday, as cash sniffed around for real action.

Moreover, I was happy to see Dollar Tree (DLTR) respond positively to earnings and United Airlines (UAL) rebound on the eclectic leaderboard, as oil began retracing its recent spurt.

According to the Script

Right now, the market is going according to script, suggesting a massive rally is on the horizon.

NVDA GTC Conference

The bottom line is Nvidia (NVDA) is killing it, but the stock still lost some of its gains into the close. I’m not sure what can be said at this point. Last year, CEO Jensen Huang blew everyone away with a call for $500 billion in revenue, and now he sees $1.0 trillion in revenue for 2027.

The Evolution of AI

Huang calls OpenClaw 'the operating system for personal artificial intelligence (AI).’

Photonic Disappointment

Shares of photonic stocks tumbled after the close following Huang’s comments that there was room for co-packaged optics (CPO) and copper.

If the name of the game is cash, or better yet, discounted cash flow, NVDA is king, as all the “Mag Seven” names fork over all of their Jensen drinks, and now sits atop $62.5 billion. By the way, Vera Rubin is not a new chip; it’s a new platform.

Micron Wins Big

Micron Technology’s (MU) latest HBM4 will play a major role with Vera Rubin.

The stock has been in the middle of a face-ripping rally over the past ten sessions, and should gap higher once again this morning.

Looking for “Cheap Stocks?”

I continue to warn about the old Wall Street playbook, and stashing cash in traditional safe haven sectors.
