This past earnings period saw significant increases in existing dividend payouts. This reminds me of a piece from J.P. Morgan I read on accelerated payouts at the start of the year. It reminded investors of the importance of reinvested dividends over the years and anticipated acceleration.

The list of dividend kings continues to grow, but the list is misleading. The WSS Dividend Portfolio has two names in the top ten that have been inferior performers of late. It's still a great source of potentially divided ideas.
