Money continues to pour into money markets as investors want to squeeze out a yield before the tide turns and rates come down. This creates a scenario like 2022 when money came from bonds into dividend funds. Seeking Yield The issue for investors is the paltry dividend yield for the S&P 500, which is nearing the record lowest level. I suspect we will see payout increases, underscoring the challenge and opportunities for investors. Few will settle for low payouts after 5.0% plus in money markets.
