Sometimes, the stock market seems illogical, and at other times, it seems crazy. Last week, stocks and bonds rallied to economic data disappointments. Almost every data point came in below the consensus, and some were worrisome. Every data point ‘bomb’ saw investors rejoice. And yet, the week's most significant economic data point didn’t ‘bomb’ enough. Sure, the Street was relieved the Consumer Price Index (CPI) didn’t come in hotter than expected, but all things considered, it's still hot.
