It’s been another tough week for the market, which continues to grapple with actions in the bond market and reactions to anything outside of the Federal Reserve that could be interpreted as hawkish. The same is true with economic data that the media continues to fawn over without nuance. I believe paying more for the same thing or “buying” a car with 72 months of payments at record interest isn’t “strong” or intelligent. Sub-prime auto borrowers are already having massive repossessions. Americans struggle to keep a ‘whip’ with the average auto payment of $733 a month and more than 25% of new loans at $1,000 a month.
