I've been hearing from more people about the underperformance of their dividend investments, especially recently retired folks. There are lots of issues here, including a paint-by-numbers approach for 65-year-olds. People are living longer and making grander plans for their golden years. Dividend growers and initiators have returned $14,405 against $14,955 for the cap-weighted S&P 500. The key is the initiators, which means super growth names that begin sharing the wealth.
