The market finally ran out of gas, but as far as significant consolidation weeks are concerned, it wasn’t that awful. However, the bear argument lost more steam as defensive sectors took the biggest hits. There was an eclectic mix of advancers on the week, led by Generac Holdings (GNRC), which has a huge fan following and was oversold. Consumer Discretionary (XLY) was flat on the week but saw big individual winners. The star sector was Health Care (XLV).
