Ball of Confusion or Crystal Clear?

There have been back-to-back events that have seen the stock market react in strange ways.

The Jobs Report

When 339,000 new jobs flashed, the market swooned, but seconds later, it rebounded in premarket trading, and heads began spinning. That headline was significantly above the consensus of 190,000 and seemed to be a sure sign that the Federal Reserve would have to extend its string of rate hikes.
