The Dividend Report - October 2022
11/7/2022
It’s been tough sledding for the entire market. In fact, with respect to several metrics, this is the second to fourth worst year- ever. We’ve taken our lumps, but I want to point out a learning lesson. In the September report, we closed three positions, including the VF Corporation (VFC). The company is paying out a 6.7% yield, but if you bought as we were closing around $40, you’d be down 28%. So, be careful chasing juicy yields without looking under the hood. Meanwhile, the high dividend has significantly outperformed the broad market since August. To read the full report contact your account executive or email Research@wstreet.com.
