The “Mag Seven” underperformed, but 2025 saw many of the same winners from 2024 and even 2023.  In fact, the “Mag Seven” outperformed the S&P 500 (SPX) and the S&P 493 once again.

The “Mag Seven” is poised to take off once it clears a major hurdle that’s been in place since mid-October.

Last year saw a record amount of cash pulled from active managers.

Meanwhile, a record $1.4 trillion was poured into equity exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

In addition to record flows last year, sales saw a record number of launches and trading volume.

Still waiting on official second-half data, but retail investors probably purchased more individual stocks than in any other year on record.
