Close, but no cigar. With an hour to go in trading on Friday, there was a chance for the first five-day winning streak. But at the last minute, the market began to sag, so the S&P was only up four straight days for the fourth time in 2022. The carnage continues to mount, with U.S. equities shedding more than $14.0 trillion, which is by far the most ever – and we are only halfway through the year.
