Well, I guess it was bound to happen. That seven-week S&P 500 losing streak finally came to an end. Market breadth was better, with significantly more advancers than decliners. Volume was positive, but overall, too low to spell conviction. New highs continue to dwarf lows, although Thursday and Friday saw the script flipped on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
