Well, 2021 is in the books and it’s sufficient to say the market blew away Wall Street’s expectations by a country mile and, in many ways, continued to portray a picture contrary to the one most people live and feel each day. There were moments when the market was in lockstep with headlines like the rise and initial rapid spread of Omicron. And at other times, the market reflected the issues of Main Street, such as inflation but in a way that underscored the fact that a lot of prices were passed along to consumers, and those fatter numbers reached bottom lines which in turn swelled share prices.
