The Economy The third quarter has just begun, but the Atlanta Fed sees 6.0% growth. That number usually starts high and drifts lower, but there are pockets of the economy faring well, starting with manufacturing.
The Institute for Supply Management (ISM) Manufacturing release for July was awesome. The sector has been growing for seven straight months and picking up speed, and employment has surged out of contraction (a reading below 50).
Importance of Computer Investments EPB produces amazing work, and these tables underscore the historical nature of business investment in computer equipment for the overall economy’s gross domestic product (GDP).
But overall, gross private investment as a percentage of GDP is waning.
