The market continues to be driven by companies more focused on capital expenditures (CapEx). The story hasn’t changed, at least on the surface, with companies replacing buybacks and dividend yields to focus on capital expenditures. However, this is precisely the time when it’s essential to increase exposure to dividend payers that continue to grow, and are committed to improving their payouts as well.
S&P 500 earnings yields have been drifting and are close to its lowest level on record.
