It was a phenomenal week for the market, which ignored the experts and the words focused on body language. It was all about Jay Powell, and perhaps the start of a pivot, and all about earnings, which continue to exhibit more resolve than most expected. Going into the weekend, the experts were furious, having said the market had to go down a lot more and individual investors had to panic much more – neither happened. All of these things could still occur, but the fact of the matter is stocks and bonds act like a bottom has been put in.
