Safety Has Changed

And just like that, the fabled 60-40 portfolio has crumbled in a way never seen before. Even though there are almost eight months left in trading this year, this gold standard for long-term investing has suffered one of its largest declines ever. Mostly because of the bond rout, which may only see temporary rebounds, but it has probably entered into a secular bear market.
