Hopes were dashed late Friday with the handful of buyers packing it in for the weekend. Only the closing bell stopped the slide. Last week’s only positives were reactions to positive headlines on Ukraine, and the fading volume as the week moved on signaled there is also a dearth of sellers.

Some market watchers would like to see the biggest volume on selloffs, and even more stocks getting hammered as a sign of complete capitulation.
