For the last few years, there has been an array of issues for the housing industry all conspiring to depress shares of homebuilders and other associated industries.   But there were signs of improvement late last year, and early 2019, but the experts only saw doom and gloom.  Your appetite for knowledge will lead to a lot of confusion and angst. 

Sadly, so many experts are just so wrong, and conventional wisdom is for the birds.
