STRANGE DAYS INDEED

Yesterday, the session was doomed from the start, as investors mostly flocked to the sidelines or traditional safe-haven sectors. However, cybersecurity resumed its impressive rally, as doomsday morphed into opportunity.

Cybersecurity (CIBR) names dominated.

CPU Time

Some of the smartest folks I know in Technology (XLK) investing say you need exposure to the impending surge in central processing units (CPUs) as we enter the world of agentic AI. The top five stocks in JPMorgan Chase & Company’s (JPM) CPU ecosystem basket:

Power Shortage

I’m confused as to why Utilities (XLU) aren’t ripping the cover off the ball. They provide hefty dividends and are a critical part of the data center story.

The other parts of the “power” flow chain are crushing it, especially generators and internal data center power.

After the Close: Dr. Frankenstein Goes to Wall Street

Anthropic’s initial public offering (IPO) prospectus is floating around, and apparently, they’re still thinking of a $2.0 trillion valuation. That’s hubris, not unlike Dr. Frankenstein, going to Wall Street to raise money.

Not Opening

Speaking of which, a report says OpenAI will delay the release of GPT 6.1 Astra over security concerns.  That’s the way the system is supposed to work.
