Afternoon Note

Cherry Pick

More of the same – mega-cap higher as investors cherry-pick other niches in the market. Travel-related names also look compelling.

According to @TSA, yesterday was the busiest day ever at airports in the US. with 2,884,783 people screened and fewer than one-half of one percent of 51,332 scheduled flights canceled.

Still, the market needs that shot in the arm that only happens with a major breakout. We have raised our cash level as we wait for a close north of 4.600 on better-than-average volume.

Normally after a few sessions of failure, there is a pullback. I want to be prepared either way.

The flight numbers you give (2,884,783 screened on 51,332 flights) works out to 56+ passengers per flight. Seems low to me, but the flight numbers may include civilian aviation with ~4 pax. Just an observation.
