The 2016 election post-mortem has created a narrative that everyone is shocked at Donald Trump’s win, including “the markets.” I don’t agree with that assessment. There were signs that the market realized a Trump victory was possible. 

I have always contended that everyone should be invested. Sadly, millions missed the rally throughout the Obama years, conflating their dislike or concern with the president with owning great and oversold stocks. 

As for the Trump Economy, it has already begun to take off.  My brother-in-law is in the scrap metal business and says demand instantly surged through the roof. The best way to ride the wave is to take a smart investment approach.
