Have Investors Whet Their Appetite on Whole Foods?

Investors are closely-watching comparable store sales - an important measure of retailer health. Whole Foods has posted two consecutive quarters of negative growth as shoppers made fewer trips to its stores and put fewer items in their grocery baskets.

"I am not seeing any reason for improvement," said Urani, citing the slump in the broad economy. "They will still have to compete with cheap grocers."
