Afternoon Note

Tensions Persist

By Karina Hernandez, Senior Research Analyst
3/30/2022 1:33 PM

Stocks are sitting at the lows of the session with the Nasdaq leading in losses, down 0.6%. Comments from Russia’s Ministry of Defense, which stated, "The Russian army has created conditions for the final stage of the operation to liberate Donbas" and added, "all main tasks of the armed forces of Russia in Kiev and Chernigov have been completed" created tension in the market.

Energy is rebounding from yesterday’s losses, with refiners such as Marathon Petroleum (MPC) and Valero Energy Corporation (VLO) seeing strong moves. Utilities have been higher five straight days; the last time they had 6 straight up days was a year ago.

Charles, love the show, but I am a long term diamond hands investor. I need more suggestions for long term, extended years buys and sells.

Thanks for all do.
