Afternoon Note

Not As Bad

By Charles Payne, CEO & Principal Analyst

The markets didn’t open as badly as many thought they would but soon began to swoon – and held at the right moment = overnight lows.  If I were trading my own account, I would have been an aggressive buyer.

It's the perfect guide for a day like this...now, if these industries turn lower again, which is highly probably on a Friday, then they could take out overnight lows.  Conversely, taking out the highs of the actual session is a buy signal that matters for long term investors (it's where you begin to nibble).

S&P 500

Dow Jones Industrial Average

Stocks are oversold.  Period.  We took a few hits to raise cash in names that have seen the most deterioration in the value proposition, and would take the longest to rebound, to take advantage of opportunities that we think have explosive upside.

Have a great weekend.  Be well and stay safe.
