Afternoon Note

Pedestrian Session

By Charles Payne, CEO & Principal Analyst

It’s another pedestrian session with a solid upside bias led by the financials, which are finally living up to the hype.  While Goldman Sachs (GS) is setting the pace, the stock of the day is Bank of America (BAC), which posted a solid beat led by increases in consumer and business loans and a conservative approach to trading that had hit its rivals hard during the quarter.

Volume continues to be light, but I like that because it underscores the fact most investors are still hesitant, maybe waiting for the market to hit or re-test the highs to become aggressive.
