Risk

"Risk"

It's a word that is now being used as a negative to cover up indecision and a lack of conviction.

When we walk across any street in America, we are taking a risk.  We do so very casually even though, more than 4,000 people are killed doing so each year (59,000 are injured).  But, we need to get from point A to point B.

In our financial life, point A is where you are now and point B is where you need to be while.  Point C however is where you want to be.  Right now only 7% of Americans are prepared to reach point B- a basic retirement let alone point C- a dream retirement.

Of course there are risk, and things have changed, like the notion of buy and hold forever.  The market takes work, patience and level-headed thinking.  99.9% of investors are not going to look under the hood.  Most don't even know what's in their own 401K or the mutual funds they loaded up on. They have no clue if the actual stocks are in companies taking market share, have pricing power and have the ability to execute.  So its like going into battle unarmed, and yes that is scary, and yes that is risky.  So, they sit in a foxhole and wait.

We have had people in large amounts of cash, we have taken losses, but we have had eight months where there have been many more winners than losers this year.  Yes, its hard and a lot of work for our team, but that's why you hire us.  Not taking "risk" insures one thing- you are going to lose
